| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Richard E. Carlini of Barrington, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on September 9, 2009; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Richard Carlini was born on February 9, 1932 in | ||||||
| 6 | Cicero; he lived in Cicero until 1960, when he moved to Des | ||||||
| 7 | Plaines; he then moved to Palatine in 1979, living there until | ||||||
| 8 | he moved to Barrington in 1998; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Richard Carlini graduated from Morton High School | ||||||
| 10 | in 1950; he earned his bachelor's degree in education from | ||||||
| 11 | Northwestern University in 1956 and his master's degree in | ||||||
| 12 | education in 1962 from Northern Illinois University; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Richard Carlini served his country with pride and | ||||||
| 14 | distinction as an engineman in the United States Navy from 1952 | ||||||
| 15 | until 1955; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Richard Carlini retired in 1986 after 34 years at | ||||||
| 17 | Maine West High School, where he taught physical education and | ||||||
| 18 | served as athletic director for 8 years; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Richard Carlini was a member of the Cross & Crown | ||||||
| 20 | Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights; he enjoyed woodworking, | ||||||

| 1 | crafts, art, and sailing; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Richard Carlini was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 3 | parents, Constantino and Susan (nee Gianeschi) Carlini; his | ||||||
| 4 | brothers, Nello, Harvey, Robert, and Norman Carlini; and his | ||||||
| 5 | sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Helen Carlini; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Richard Carlini is survived by his wife, Heide | ||||||
| 7 | (nee Brose); his sons, Richard (Paula) and Perry (Jenny); his | ||||||
| 8 | stepson, Todd Ryland (Donna) Kemp; and his grandchildren, Diana | ||||||
| 9 | and Eva Carlini, and Anthony, Vincent, and Sophia Carlini; | ||||||
| 10 | therefore, be it

| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 13 | his family and friends, the passing of Richard E. Carlini; and | ||||||
| 14 | be it further

| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 16 | presented to the family of Richard Carlini as an expression of | ||||||
| 17 | our sympathy.
