SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Emma Jewel Reardon of Alsey, who
passed away on July 10, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Emma Reardon was born to Justin Reardon and
Amanda Sleek in Jacksonville on October 21, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Emma Reardon was a joyful little girl who enjoyed
playing Uno with her father and grandmother and playing
Pokemon with her brother; and
WHEREAS, Emma Reardon loved doing cartwheels, being at
school with her friends and teacher, playing in the pool with
her brother, nephew, and friends, and dressing up as a
princess; and
WHEREAS, Emma Reardon is survived by her parents; her
sisters, Mallori (Morgan) Riech and Madison Thomas-Reardon;
her brother, Gavin Marcum; her paternal grandparents, James
and Carla Reardon; her maternal grandparents, Jerry Marcum and
Carole Lance; her nephew, Bextyn Riech; and her niece,
Kalannah Collins; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Emma Jewel Reardon and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Emma Reardon as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
