| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Bette Jane Ellis of Crystal Lake, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on March 20, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Bette Ellis was born in Chicago to Raymond and | ||||||
| 6 | Madelyn Hentz on May 27, 1936; she graduated from Crystal Lake | ||||||
| 7 | Central High School in 1954 and continued her education at | ||||||
| 8 | McHenry County College; she received many medical | ||||||
| 9 | certifications; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Bette Ellis spent her career as an Administrative | ||||||
| 11 | Assistant or Medical Assistant in McHenry County; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Bette Ellis was an avid nature lover and always | ||||||
| 13 | had a canine or bird as her companion; she loved to travel with | ||||||
| 14 | her friend, Randy, and enjoyed walking, biking, canoeing, | ||||||
| 15 | swimming, camping, cards, and bingo; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Bette Ellis was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
| 17 | her brothers, Robert, Richard, and Donald; her sister, | ||||||
| 18 | Jacqueline; and her daughter, Debbie Ellis; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Bette Ellis is survived by her children, Donald | ||||||
| 20 | (Bonnie) Ellis, Dorene (Kirk) Wiggerman, Duwane (Tammy) Ellis, | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | and Dean Ellis; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; | ||||||
| 2 | therefore, be it

| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 5 | Bette Jane Ellis, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
| 6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 7 | further
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 9 | presented to the family of Bette Ellis as an expression of our | ||||||
