SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Kathleen Pluth; and
WHEREAS, Kathleen Pluth graduated from Marquette
University in 1964; she subsequently began her teaching career
and raising her family; in 1994, she received a master's degree
from Roosevelt University, which enabled her to mentor and work
with women in crisis until her retirement in the fall of 2012;
and
WHEREAS, Kathleen Pluth was involved at St. Raymond's for
over 40 years and touched the lives of many; and
WHEREAS, Kathleen Pluth was a talented artist and
accomplished cook who loved to entertain; and
WHEREAS, Kathleen Pluth was preceded in death by her
parents, Patricia and John Scotellaro; and
WHEREAS, Kathleen Pluth was the beloved wife of Rick Pluth;
the loving mother of Katie (Joe) Wawak, Patrick Pluth, and
Chrissy (Mark) Azman; the devoted grandmother of Jacob, Abby,
and Vesna; and the cherished sister of Jack (Pat) Scotellaro,
Tim Scotellaro, and Kevin (Sharon) Scotellaro; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
her family and friends, the passing of Kathleen Pluth; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Kathleen Pluth as an expression of
our sympathy.
