| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Elsa M. Strite of Richmond, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on November 19, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Elsa Strite was born on May 7, 1929 in Overkalix, | ||||||
| 6 | Sweden; her parents were Eduard and Alma (nee Olson) Johanson; | ||||||
| 7 | she married Lloyd "Bud" Strite on March 13, 1982 in Chicago; | ||||||
| 8 | and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, After graduating from nursing school, Elsa Strite | ||||||
| 10 | worked as a registered nurse for 45 years, working at Swedish | ||||||
| 11 | Covenant and Edgewater Hospitals in Chicago; she later worked | ||||||
| 12 | as a medical assistant for Dr. O'Donnell in Evanston for over | ||||||
| 13 | 16 years until her retirement in 1990; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Elsa Strite was a member of Wonder Lake Bible | ||||||
| 15 | Church in Wonder Lake; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Elsa Strite enjoyed hiking, skiing, gardening, | ||||||
| 17 | and cooking; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Elsa Strite was preceded in death by 2 sisters and | ||||||
| 19 | 2 brothers; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Elsa Strite is survived by her husband, "Bud"; a | ||||||
| 2 | sister, Gunnel Ragner; a niece; and a nephew; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
| 5 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Elsa M. Strite; and be | ||||||
| 6 | it further
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 8 | presented to the family of Elsa Strite as an expression of our | ||||||
| 9 | sympathy.
