2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of
United States Army Sergeant Timothy D. | ||||||
4 | Sayne of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, formerly of Effingham, who | ||||||
5 | passed away on September 18, 2011; and

6 | WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne was born on November 28, 1979, | ||||||
7 | in Henderson, Kentucky; he is the son of Mary "Kathy" Sayne and | ||||||
8 | Robert Sayne; he married Thania Agustin on October 17, 2009, in | ||||||
9 | Reno, Nevada; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne was a graduate of Effingham | ||||||
11 | High School; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne served his country with pride | ||||||
13 | and distinction as a member of the United States Army since | ||||||
14 | February of 2008; he graduated from basic training and advanced | ||||||
15 | individual training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and arrived at Fort | ||||||
16 | Wainwright, Alaska in August of 2008; he served a tour of duty | ||||||
17 | in Iraq from September of 2008 to September of 2009 as a | ||||||
18 | cavalry scout in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; he | ||||||
19 | served with the 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Stryker | ||||||
20 | Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division at the time | ||||||
21 | of his passing; and

1 | WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne was preceded in death by his | ||||||
2 | grandparents, Robert B. and Rita Even; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne is survived by his wife, | ||||||
4 | Thania; his son, Timothy Kalvin; his mother, Kathy Sayne; his | ||||||
5 | brothers, Cory (Jamie) Sayne and Joey (Desiree) Sayne; his | ||||||
6 | sister, Paige (George) Huntington; his three nieces; and his | ||||||
7 | two nephews; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
10 | his family and friends, the passing of United States Army | ||||||
11 | Sergeant Timothy D. Sayne; and be it further
| ||||||
12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to the family of Sgt. Timothy Sayne as an expression | ||||||
14 | of our sympathy.
