2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Judith C. Wittenberg of Oak Park, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 2, 2018 at the age of 83; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Judith Wittenberg was born on September 17, 1931 | ||||||
6 | to loving parents Paul and Cornelia Bechtol and spent the | ||||||
7 | majority of her life serving the Village of Oak Park; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Judith Wittenberg was a charter member of the Oak | ||||||
9 | Park Concert Chorale and served as the financial secretary for | ||||||
10 | many years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Judith Wittenberg was the organist and choir | ||||||
12 | director at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Oak Park for 25 | ||||||
13 | years; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Judith Wittenberg provided meals for property | ||||||
15 | clean-up day, volunteered for many years at the Oak Park River | ||||||
16 | Forest Food Pantry, and served as a docent at the Oak Park | ||||||
17 | Conservatory; and

18 | WHEREAS, Judith Wittenberg was preceded in death by her | ||||||
19 | husband, Charles Wittenberg and her parents, Paul and Cornelia | ||||||
20 | Bechtol; and

1 | WHEREAS, Judith Wittenberg is survived by her children, | ||||||
2 | Alan (Vicki) Wittenberg and Lynn (Bevin) Zamora; her | ||||||
3 | grandchild, Robert Wittenberg; and her siblings, Paul | ||||||
4 | (Dorothy) Wittenberg, Carol (Dick) Horneck, Robert (Jan) | ||||||
5 | Wittenberg, and Dottie (Bill) Post; therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Judith C. Wittenberg and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
10 | further

11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
