| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Nancy Schillerstrom of Naperville, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on September 3, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, She was born May 7, 1930 in Maywood; she grew up | ||||||
| 6 | in Chicago's western suburbs and was a 1948 graduate of | ||||||
| 7 | Hinsdale High School; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, She was a homemaker for many years, and also | ||||||
| 9 | worked at Argonne National Laboratory and later as office | ||||||
| 10 | manager for the accounting firm of Schillerstrom & Kabza in | ||||||
| 11 | Naperville; she was an early member of Our Saviour's Lutheran | ||||||
| 12 | Church and a current member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, | ||||||
| 13 | both in Naperville; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, She was active in Republican Party politics, | ||||||
| 15 | serving as a precinct committeeman and election judge, both in | ||||||
| 16 | Lisle and Naperville Townships; she was also a volunteer at | ||||||
| 17 | Edward Hospital and was active in Naperville Little League and | ||||||
| 18 | Pony League youth baseball; she loved dogs and cats and will be | ||||||
| 19 | remembered by many for her role as a surrogate mother and | ||||||
| 20 | confidante to her children's friends; and
| ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen C. | ||||||

| 1 | Schillerstrom; her parents, LaVerne and Mabel Rowder; and her | ||||||
| 2 | brother, Merl Crawford; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Nancy Schillerstrom was the loving mother of David | ||||||
| 4 | (Marty), Robert "Bob" (MaryBeth), William "Bill", Martha (Jim) | ||||||
| 5 | Nilles, John (Stacey), and Curt (Angela); the adored | ||||||
| 6 | grandmother of Kevin, Erik, Corinne, Connor, Curtis, | ||||||
| 7 | Katherine, Brittany, Nathan, Emily, Cassidy, Callan, Kelsy, | ||||||
| 8 | Noa, Nicole, Tessa, Megan, and Alex; and the loving aunt of 5; | ||||||
| 9 | therefore, be it

| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 11 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 12 | her family and friends, the passing of Nancy Schillerstrom; and | ||||||
| 13 | be it further

| 14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 15 | presented to the family of Nancy Schillerstrom as a symbol of | ||||||
| 16 | our sincere sympathy.
