SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Robert Henry "Bob" Dixon; and
WHEREAS, Bob Dixon was born to Henry and Marie Dixon in
Memphis, Tennessee on June 4, 1941; he resided in Chicago from
an early age and attended Dunbar High School; he served as a
sharpshooter with the 1st Cavalry Division in the U.S. Army
from 1960 to 1962; and
WHEREAS, Bob Dixon retired from Coach One, where he worked
as an over the road bus driver; and
WHEREAS, Bob Dixon was a motorcycle rider with the Dirty
Dozen Motorcycle Club, where he was also known as "Slick Bob";
he held many offices within the club, and he was most proud of
being the founder of the club's three-piece patch; and
WHEREAS, Bob Dixon was preceded in death by his parents
and his sons, James and Kevin Dixon; and
WHEREAS, Bob Dixon is survived by his wife, Denise Dixon,
and his children, Joi Cornelious, Ian Dixon, Tia Dixon, Jon
Dixon, Keena (Michael) Crossley, Robert Dixon Jr., Andre
Dixon, Robinette Lewis, and Demeka Bailey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Robert Henry "Bob" Dixon and extend our sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Bob Dixon as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
