SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of John F. "Johnny Walker" Walker of
McHenry, who passed away on January 15, 2015; and
WHEREAS, John Walker was born on May 17, 1934 in Wheaton;
his parents were Edward T. and Hannah E. (nee Reid) Walker; and
WHEREAS, John Walker served his country as a member of the
United States Army during the Korean War; and
WHEREAS, John Walker was a longtime resident of Glenview;
he was employed with School District #34 in Glenview for over
30 years; and
WHEREAS, John Walker enjoyed spending summers in the Racine
area and spent his winters in LaBelle, Florida; he also enjoyed
spending time with his family, tinkering and fixing things, and
sailing; and
WHEREAS, John Walker was preceded in death by his parents;
a brother, Ed; and a sister, Barbara; and
WHEREAS, John Walker is survived by 2 children, Denise
(Patrick) Hanrahan and John Walker; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and

Steven; and a sister, Dr. Sally Simpson-Walker; therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
family and friends, mourn the passing of John F. "Johnny
Walker" Walker; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of John Walker as an expression of our
sympathy.
