2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of John F. "Johnny Walker" Walker of | ||||||
4 | McHenry, who passed away on January 15, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, John Walker was born on May 17, 1934 in Wheaton; | ||||||
6 | his parents were Edward T. and Hannah E. (nee Reid) Walker; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, John Walker served his country as a member of the | ||||||
8 | United States Army during the Korean War; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, John Walker was a longtime resident of Glenview; | ||||||
10 | he was employed with School District #34 in Glenview for over | ||||||
11 | 30 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, John Walker enjoyed spending summers in the Racine | ||||||
13 | area and spent his winters in LaBelle, Florida; he also enjoyed | ||||||
14 | spending time with his family, tinkering and fixing things, and | ||||||
15 | sailing; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, John Walker was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
17 | a brother, Ed; and a sister, Barbara; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, John Walker is survived by 2 children, Denise | ||||||
19 | (Patrick) Hanrahan and John Walker; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and |

1 | Steven; and a sister, Dr. Sally Simpson-Walker; therefore, be | ||||||
2 | it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
5 | family and friends, mourn the passing of John F. "Johnny | ||||||
6 | Walker" Walker; and be it further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of John Walker as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | sympathy.
