| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Wojciech Lis of East Peoria, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on April 13, 2009; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Wojciech Lis was born on April 21, 1937, in | ||||||
| 6 | Turowka, Poland; his parents were Piotr and Maria (Michalina) | ||||||
| 7 | Lis; he married Sophie Blaszkiewicz on December 26, 1960, in | ||||||
| 8 | Sancygniow, Poland; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Wojciech Lis became a United States citizen in | ||||||
| 10 | 1986; he was employed as a bookbinder at Bradley University in | ||||||
| 11 | Peoria for 25 years until his retirement; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Wojciech Lis was a member of Blessed Sacrament | ||||||
| 13 | Catholic Church in Morton; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Wojciech Lis was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | granddaughter and his parents; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Wojciech Lis is survived by his wife, Sophie; his | ||||||
| 17 | daughter, Maggie (Chet) Bilows; his son, Jerry (Teresa) Lis; | ||||||
| 18 | his four grandchildren; his brother, Jan (Ola) Lis; and his | ||||||
| 19 | sister, Zofia (Edward) Gadzicki; therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 3 | his family and friends, the passing of Wojciech Lis; and be it | ||||||
| 4 | further

| 5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
