2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Esther Chloe Sturm of Wonder Lake, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 18, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Esther Sturm was born in Macomb on February 13, | ||||||
6 | 1929 to Clarence and Ocie Vogler; as a young child, she | ||||||
7 | attended a one-room school house; she was later able to | ||||||
8 | graduate from high school a year early; she married Donald C. | ||||||
9 | Sturm on February 11, 1949; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Esther Sturm was a mother and a homemaker; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Esther Sturm enjoyed golf, bowling, sewing, | ||||||
12 | reading, and upholstering; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Esther Sturm was preceded in death by her husband | ||||||
14 | of 65 years, Donald; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Esther Sturm is survived by her 9 children, | ||||||
16 | Deborah (Richard) Draper, Donald (Jayne) Sturm, David | ||||||
17 | (Georgette) Sturm, Delora (Steve) Gerhardt, Diane (Joe) | ||||||
18 | Shoemaker, Doreen (Richard) Berndt, Dee Laine (Terry) Sellke, | ||||||
19 | Dawn (Scott) Steinbach, and Dina (Steve) Dermont; her sister, | ||||||
20 | Wilma (Darrell deceased) Erdmann; her 15 grandchildren; and her |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Esther Chloe Sturm, and extend our sincere condolences her | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
