| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Katherine Mary Durkee of Harvard, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 31, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Katherine Durkee was born in Harvard on March 24, | ||||||
| 6 | 1957 to Robert F. and Audrey Betty (nee Benson) Durkee; she | ||||||
| 7 | graduated from Harvard High School in 1975 and took college | ||||||
| 8 | courses and continuing education classes through McHenry | ||||||
| 9 | County College; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, For the past 25 years, Katherine Durkee had been | ||||||
| 11 | working at Nissan Forklift, where she was employed as a Trade | ||||||
| 12 | Specialist, seeing to "The Zone" each day; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Katherine Durkee enjoyed quilting, reading, | ||||||
| 14 | watching old westerns, and having coffee on her front porch | ||||||
| 15 | with friends and neighbors; she also loved spending time | ||||||
| 16 | tending to her two dogs, Buddy and Maggie; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Katherine Durkee was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 18 | parents and several aunts and uncles; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Katherine Durkee is survived by her 2 brothers, | ||||||
| 20 | Larry and Paul; her sister, Tricia (Mark) Dixon; her 3 nephews, | ||||||

| 1 | Michael Durkee and Matthew and Nicholas Dixon; her aunt, Olive | ||||||
| 2 | Gaul; and several cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 5 | Katherine Mary Durkee, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 6 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 7 | further
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 9 | presented to the family of Katherine Durkee as an expression of | ||||||
| 10 | our deepest sympathy.
