2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Emily M. DuPree of Beach Park, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on February 13, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Emily DuPree was born in Waukegan to Edward and | ||||||
6 | Rosa Perez on August 14, 1937; she married Donald DuPree at Our | ||||||
7 | Lady of Humility Church in Zion on February 11, 1956; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Emily DuPree worked in the activity department of | ||||||
9 | the Crown Manor Nursing Home in Zion for 25 years; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Emily DuPree was a charter member of Our Lady of | ||||||
11 | Humility Church and remained active as the church organist and | ||||||
12 | in many other roles throughout the years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Emily DuPree was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
14 | her daughter, Anna DuPree; and her siblings, Julia Prickett, | ||||||
15 | Angelo Perez, Joe Perez, Helen Murillo, and Linda Garcia; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Emily DuPree is survived by her husband of 61 | ||||||
17 | years, Don; her children, Jim (Kim) DuPree, and Jane (Jon) Oye; | ||||||
18 | her grandchildren, Justin and Jessica DuPree, and Matthew, | ||||||
19 | Abigail, and Andrew Oye; and her siblings, Theresa Gorman, | ||||||
20 | Jennie Adams, Dolores Karner, Rosie (Bill) Jones, Eddie |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Emily M. DuPree, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Emily DuPree as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
