SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Scott V. "Scooter" Scherer of Crystal
Lake, who passed away on January 28, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Scott Scherer was born in Waukegan on August 29,
1959; he graduated from Central High School in 1977 and McHenry
County College; and
WHEREAS, Scott Scherer worked at PCI Pharma Services in
Woodstock until September of 2015; and
WHEREAS, Scott Scherer loved sports and played Little
League, Babe Ruth, and high school baseball; he was thrilled
seeing the Chicago Cubs win the World Series and was a lifelong
Seattle Seahawks fan; he was an experienced golfer and bowler;
and
WHEREAS, Scott Scherer was preceded in death by his
grandparents; his father, William; and his sister, Kristine;
and
WHEREAS, Scott Scherer is survived by his mother, Susan;
his brother, Rob; his sister, Karen "Missi" (Bill) Disch; his
nephews, Matthew (Melissa) McDonald, and Patrick (Sara)

McDonald; his "Greats", Maggie and Leah McDonald, and Rory and
Brogan McDonald; his aunt, Victoria (John) Sershon; his best
friend and companion, Barb Hanke, and her family; therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Scott V. "Scooter" Scherer, and extend our sincere condolences
to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Scott Scherer as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
