| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Officer Jeremy John Hubbard, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on August 10, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard was born on October 8, 1975; he | ||||||
| 6 | was active in his community as a volunteer baseball coach; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard was employed by the Cowden Police | ||||||
| 8 | Department and the Effingham County Sheriff's Department; he | ||||||
| 9 | also volunteered for K-9 search and rescue; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard leaves behind his wife, his 2 | ||||||
| 11 | sons, his mother, and his sister; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard dedicated and gave his life to | ||||||
| 13 | protecting and serving the people of the State of Illinois; | ||||||
| 14 | therefore, be it

| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 16 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 17 | his family and friends, the passing of Officer Jeremy Hubbard; | ||||||
| 18 | and be it further
| ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||

| 1 | presented to the family of Officer Jeremy Hubbard as an | ||||||
| 2 | expression of our sympathy.
