| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Glen Lenzi of Gurnee, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | February 19, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi was born in Waukegan on May 29, 1949 to | ||||||
6 | Enzo and Beverly Lenzi; he graduated Waukegan High School in | ||||||
7 | 1967 and was a member of the first CLC graduating class in 1971 | ||||||
8 | and the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management; he married | ||||||
9 | Donna May Redmer on June 7, 1969; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi worked over 30 years for Johnson | ||||||
11 | Outboards/OMC in Waukegan and other locations throughout the | ||||||
12 | world, serving in all different areas, starting as a millwright | ||||||
13 | and working his way into maintenance, where he eventually | ||||||
14 | became the Maintenance Supervisor, followed by time in the | ||||||
15 | Environmental Division; he retired as a project management | ||||||
16 | engineer in charge of opening new plants throughout the world; | ||||||
17 | after retirement, he worked briefly for the Lake Villa School | ||||||
18 | District as the Business Director; he then went to work for | ||||||
19 | Bombardier Recreational Products to assist in plant start-up; | ||||||
20 | and
| ||||||
21 | WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi was well known throughout the Gurnee | ||||||
22 | community, serving for almost 20 years on the Gurnee Grade |

1 | School District 56 school board, including 4 years as | ||||||
2 | President; in 1999, he was nominated as the Gurnee Days honoree | ||||||
3 | for his years of dedicated community service; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
5 | and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi is survived by his wife of 45 years, | ||||||
7 | Donna; his children, Jason (Lauri) Lenzi, Steven (Laura) Lenzi, | ||||||
8 | and Jana (fiancée Dan DiCaro); his grandchildren, Kaia, Dakota, | ||||||
9 | Kyra, and Yasmin; his sisters, Beverly (Ron) Glovetski, Joyce | ||||||
10 | (Chet) Brewer, and Cathy Lenzi; and his brother, Gene (Dee Dee) | ||||||
11 | Lenzi; therefore, be it

12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
14 | Glen Lenzi, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
15 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
17 | presented to the family of Glen Lenzi as an expression of our | ||||||
18 | deepest sympathy.
