| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of H. Ann Schultz of Lake Bluff, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on December 19, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Ann Schultz was born in Sidney, Iowa to Harley and | ||||||
6 | Margaret (Bayes) Stevesson on January 16, 1925; she graduated | ||||||
7 | from Malvern High School and earned her degree in home | ||||||
8 | management from Iowa State University; she married Carl Schultz | ||||||
9 | on June 6, 1948 and they settled in Lake Bluff, where they | ||||||
10 | resided for 55 years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, During her younger days, Ann Schultz enjoyed | ||||||
12 | riding horses with her sister, Mary Margaret; throughout her | ||||||
13 | life, horses remained close to her heart; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Ann Schultz was affectionately known as "Mum"; she | ||||||
15 | was very talented at needlepoint; she was an active member of | ||||||
16 | First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest for over 30 years, | ||||||
17 | where she served on many committees; she was a master bridge | ||||||
18 | player, playing well into her 80s; and

19 | WHEREAS, Ann Schultz was preceded in death by her parents | ||||||
20 | and her husband, Carl; and

1 | WHEREAS, Ann Schultz is survived by her son, Mark (Diane); | ||||||
2 | her daughter, Julia (Steve Simon); her grandchildren, Melissa | ||||||
3 | Coker, Sara (Chris) McIntosh, and Jennifer (Auston) Wilson; and | ||||||
4 | her great-grandchildren, Tyler and Allie McIntosh; therefore, | ||||||
5 | be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | H. Ann Schultz, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
10 | further
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Ann Schultz as an expression of our | ||||||
13 | deepest sympathy.
