| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of United States Army Specialist William | ||||||
| 4 | Templeton, who passed away on March 7, 2011 after being injured | ||||||
| 5 | while serving in Iraq; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, William was born September 28, 1988, in Du Quoin, | ||||||
| 7 | the son of David C. and Lea Anne (Ferrero) Templeton; he | ||||||
| 8 | graduated from Pinckneyville Community High School in 2007; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, After graduation, he immediately joined the | ||||||
| 10 | United States Army Infantry where he served as a specialist in | ||||||
| 11 | Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, He was a member of the First United Presbyterian | ||||||
| 13 | Church in Pinckneyville and always enjoyed hunting, fishing, | ||||||
| 14 | and hanging out with his friends and family; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandfather, | ||||||
| 16 | Robert "Bob" Templeton; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, United States Army Specialist William Templeton | ||||||
| 18 | is survived by his parents, Dave and Lea Anne Templeton; his | ||||||
| 19 | brother, John C. Templeton; his sister, Mackenzie L. Templeton; | ||||||
| 20 | his paternal grandmother, Wilma Templeton; his maternal | ||||||

| 1 | grandparents, Dutch and Letha Ferrero; his loving girlfriend, | ||||||
| 2 | Keri McDaniel; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and | ||||||
| 3 | friends; therefore, be it

| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 6 | his family, friends, and a grateful nation, the passing of | ||||||
| 7 | United States Army Specialist William Templeton; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of United States Army | ||||||
| 10 | Specialist William Templeton and his willingness to serve his | ||||||
| 11 | country, which led to him making the ultimate sacrifice; and be | ||||||
| 12 | it further
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to the family of United States Army Specialist | ||||||
| 15 | William Templeton as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
