SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Heinrich Viereckl of Batavia, who passed
away on February 9, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Heinrich Viereckl was born in Austria to Herman
and Gabrielle (Killian) Viereckl on August 4, 1935; he served
in Germany with the United States Army; he married Elfriede
Reik in Germany on May 16, 1960; and
WHEREAS, Heinrich Viereckl was employed by John Henry Homes
as a master carpenter for many years; and
WHEREAS, Following retirement, Heinrich Viereckl enjoyed
traveling the world with his cousin, Joe; and
WHEREAS, Heinrich Viereckl was preceded in death by his
parents and his brother, Josef "Sepp" Viereckl; and
WHEREAS, Heinrich Viereckl is survived by his wife,
Elfriede; his children, Frank (Noreen) Viereckl, Lori
Viereckl, and Heidi (Scott) Treadman; his grandchildren, Lucy
and Martin (Fiancee Stephanie) Viereckl, Whitney Treadman, and
Samantha (Alex) Blaga; his brother, Fred Viereckl; his sister,
Christa (Charles) Stanek; his sister-in-law, Marianne

Viereckl; and his special cousin, Joe (Wilma) Viereckl;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Heinrich Viereckl and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Heinrich Viereckl as an expression
of our deepest sympathy.
