2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Kenneth E. Wood of Lake Bluff, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on February 26, 2011; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, He was born in 1932 in Brewerton, New York, the | ||||||
6 | son of the late Clarence and Ella Wood; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, He was a CPA with Arthur Andersen and Company, the | ||||||
8 | Walter Heller Company, and The Marmon Group, all of Chicago; | ||||||
9 | and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, He was a member of the Sharvin American Legion | ||||||
11 | Post #397 in North Chicago; he was on the Board of Directors of | ||||||
12 | the Great Lakes Naval Museum Foundation; he was the National | ||||||
13 | Director and a member of the Navy League of the United States; | ||||||
14 | he was on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet | ||||||
15 | Corps; he was a member of the Friends of Lake County Discovery | ||||||
16 | Museum; and he was member of the Lake County Council of the | ||||||
17 | Navy League; and

18 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wood was the husband of Roycealee Wood | ||||||
19 | (nee, Johnson); the godfather of Scott (Lynne) Twigg and Steven | ||||||
20 | Twigg; the great godfather of Emily and Logan Twigg; and the | ||||||
21 | brother of Millard (late, Susan) Wood and Nancy (Neal) Scott; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
4 | his family and friends, the passing of Kenneth Wood; and be it | ||||||
5 | further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Kenneth Wood as a symbol of our | ||||||
8 | sincere sympathy.
