2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Edmund "Pep" Sandoval of East Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on February 10, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Edmund Sandoval was born in Silvis to Encarnacion | ||||||
6 | and Amalia (Herrera) Sandoval on November 16, 1941; he served | ||||||
7 | in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict; he married Cathy | ||||||
8 | Mahan on January 21, 1967; he later married Pauline Munos on | ||||||
9 | July 14, 1990, and she preceded him in death on August 14, | ||||||
10 | 2020; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Edmund Sandoval worked for John Deere Harvester | ||||||
12 | in East Moline for over 40 years until he retired; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Edmund Sandoval was an active member of Our Lady | ||||||
14 | Of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Silvis and the Mexican | ||||||
15 | American Veterans Association (MAVA); he loved music and | ||||||
16 | dancing; his world revolved around his family; and

17 | WHEREAS, Edmund Sandoval was preceded in death by his | ||||||
18 | parents; his wife; his son, Michael Munos; his siblings, | ||||||
19 | Samuel Sandoval, Eloise (Manuel) Montez, Victoria (Alfonse) | ||||||
20 | Lopez, and Dorothy Rangel; and his brothers-in-law, Florencio | ||||||
21 | Puentes and Gilbert Lopez; and

1 | WHEREAS, Edmund Sandoval is survived by his children, | ||||||
2 | Tiffany (Tim) Spurgetis, Tori Petre, Jon Sandoval (Melissa | ||||||
3 | Sheppard-Nelson), Dave Munos, and Pam (Mike) Savala; his | ||||||
4 | grandchildren, Nicole, Catherine, Maddii, Tyler, Shane, Evan, | ||||||
5 | Julian, Molly, Shavonne, Jason, Jessica, and Bradley; his 15 | ||||||
6 | great-grandchildren; and his 4 great-great-grandchildren; his | ||||||
7 | siblings, Frank (Theresa) Sandoval, Beatrice Puentes, Phil | ||||||
8 | (Manuela) Bonilla, and Mary Lopez: and his sister-in-law, | ||||||
9 | Laura Sandoval; therefore, be it

10 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
11 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
12 | Edmund "Pep" Sandoval and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
13 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
14 | further

15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
16 | presented to the family of Edmund Sandoval as an expression of | ||||||
