2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Donald L. Short of Milan, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on January 26, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Donald Short was born in Joy to William and Annis | ||||||
6 | (Whitaker) Short on October 6, 1936; he served in the U.S. | ||||||
7 | Army; he married Patricia David in Joy on May 4, 1956; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Donald Short was a truck driver for Dimock Gould | ||||||
9 | and Co. in Moline; he later worked for Mills Chevrolet; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Donald Short enjoyed fishing and stock cars; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Donald Short was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
12 | and his daughter, Roxanne Borkhardt; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Donald Short is survived by his wife, Patricia; | ||||||
14 | his grandchildren, Jordan and Lauren Borkhardt; his | ||||||
15 | son-in-law, Jerry Borkhardt; and his siblings, Delores Willits | ||||||
16 | and Melvin Short; therefore, be it

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
19 | Donald L. Short and extend our sincere condolences to his |
