SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Marita Salvi of Crystal Lake, who passed
away on December 20, 2016, at the age of 84; and
WHEREAS, Marita Salvi was born on December 25, 1931; and
WHEREAS, Marita Salvi was preceded in death by her husband,
Albert; her siblings and their spouses, Thomas H. and Mary
Salvi, Irene and Edward Lortie, Mary Ann and Joseph Jaros,
Patrick and Nancy Salvi, Sue and James Keane, and Jack Salvi;
and her brother-in-law, Robert Uphues; and
WHEREAS, Marita Salvi was the loving mother of Patrick
(Linda), Mary (Scott) Kenitz, Catherine (Peter) Wifler,
Michael (Debra), Albert (Kathleen), Anne (Robert) Hansen,
Thomas (Gwen), Joseph (Bridget), and Barbara (Joseph) Wheeler;
a wonderful grandmother of 40; great-grandmother of seven; the
fond sister of Harvey B. Jr. MD (Ann), Virginia Uphues, Larry
(Terry), Richard (Barbara), and Michael (Cathy) Williams; and
the dear aunt to many; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Marita Salvi, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,

friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Marita Salvi as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
