| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Milton Earl Rasmussen of Princeville, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 11, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, He was born July 19, 1937, in Peoria, the son of | ||||||
| 6 | Alvin W. and Wilma Metheny Rasmussen; he married Janet K. | ||||||
| 7 | Hohenbery on September 18, 1960, in Peoria; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and | ||||||
| 9 | played in the United States Marine Corps Band during the Rose | ||||||
| 10 | Bowl Parade in 1958 and 1959; he was a member of the | ||||||
| 11 | Princeville American Legion Post #248; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, He worked as an electrician for Caterpillar | ||||||
| 13 | Tractor Company in Mossville, retiring in 1995; he was a member | ||||||
| 14 | of the Princeville First Presbyterian Church, where he served | ||||||
| 15 | as an elder; he was a member of the Princeville Lion's Club, | ||||||
| 16 | and was an associate member of the Peoria County Republican | ||||||
| 17 | Women; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, He was the Princeville Township Precinct | ||||||
| 19 | Committeemen and was the Princeville Village Clerk for 4 years; | ||||||
| 20 | he also was a volunteer driver for the Akron/Princeville | ||||||
| 21 | Ambulance Service; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Milton Rasmussen is survived by his wife, Janet; | ||||||
| 2 | his sons, Terry (Timie Sue) Rasmussen, Trent Rasmussen, Milton, | ||||||
| 3 | Jr. (Nanette) Rasmussen, and Alvin Rasmussen; his | ||||||
| 4 | grandchildren, Eric (Susanna), Melissa (Wyatt), Gregory, | ||||||
| 5 | Kirsten, Nicole, and Amanda; and his great-grandchildren, | ||||||
| 6 | Rebecca, Grayce, Patrick, and Ethan; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 9 | his family and friends, the passing of Milton Rasmussen; and be | ||||||
| 10 | it further
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to the family of Milton Rasmussen as a symbol of our | ||||||
| 13 | sincere sympathy.
