| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Thomas Beckmann of Waukegan, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on December 3, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann was born on October 22, 1930 and | ||||||
| 6 | was a lifelong resident of Waukegan; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, After graduating from high school in 1948, Thomas | ||||||
| 8 | Beckmann served his country as a member of the United States | ||||||
| 9 | Marine Corps; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann had a long and distinguished | ||||||
| 11 | career as a pipe fitter; he also owned several successful | ||||||
| 12 | businesses in Lake County; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann enjoyed playing golf, watching | ||||||
| 14 | the Chicago Cubs, and laughing; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann was preceded in death by his wife | ||||||
| 16 | and soul mate of 44 years, Joan; his parents, William and Marie | ||||||
| 17 | Beckmann; a sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Charles | ||||||
| 18 | Swanson; and a brother, Jack Beckmann; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann is survived by 2 children, Tim | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | Beckmann and Mary Jo (Jeff) Keller; 4 grandchildren, Jon and | ||||||
| 2 | Tim Beckmann and Ted and Molly Keller; a brother, Dr. William | ||||||
| 3 | (Carol) Beckmann; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 6 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Beckmann; and | ||||||
| 7 | be it further
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 9 | presented to the family of Thomas Beckmann as an expression of | ||||||
| 10 | our sympathy.
