SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Mary E. Pasiewicz, who passed away on
October 9, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Mary Pasiewicz was born in Waukegan on August 21,
1919 to Lawrence and Mary (nee Dolence) Furlan; she attended
Holy Family Church in North Chicago through the 8th grade; and
WHEREAS, Mary Pasiewicz was a homemaker and the owner of
Bucks Pool Hall; she was employed at the Great Lakes Naval
Station and with the Veterans Administration; she also worked
as a nanny; and
WHEREAS, Mary Pasiewicz was a past President of Christian
Singles; she loved people and conversation, listening to music,
and traveling; and
WHEREAS, Mary Pasiewicz was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, Stanley (Buck); her son, Lawrence; and
her 3 brothers, Frank, Louis, and Edward; and
WHEREAS, Mary Pasiewicz is survived by her children,
Loretta, Mike (Patricia), Paul, Stan (Pattie), and Dan (Linda);
her 9 grandchildren, Raymond (Kimberly), Joseph (fiancee

Vonda), Michelle (Mike), Daniel (Katie), Ashley (Joshua),
Jessica, Davina, Christina, and Alyssa; her 9
great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Bailey, Delaney, Anna, Grace,
Drew, Hailey, Hayden, and Shane; and her special friends, The
Merz family; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Mary E. Pasiewicz, and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Mary Pasiewicz as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
