2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of John F. "Jack" Arbuckle Jr. of Peoria, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on January 8, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was born in Peoria to Florence | ||||||
6 | (Netter) and John F. Arbuckle Sr. on January 16, 1938; later in | ||||||
7 | life, he graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor's | ||||||
8 | degree in economics; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. worked as a lending officer at | ||||||
10 | Commercial National Bank (PNC Bank) and retired as vice | ||||||
11 | president after over 25 years of service; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was active with the Creve Coeur | ||||||
13 | Club, the Kiwanis Club, the Ivy Club, the Peoria Public School | ||||||
14 | Board and the Crittenton Care Centers; he was an avid reader | ||||||
15 | and had a true passion for sports cars, especially Corvettes; | ||||||
16 | he will be remembered as a loving husband and a great father; | ||||||
17 | and

18 | WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents and his first cousin, JaNan Williams; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. is survived by his wife, Janet; |

1 | his daughters, Elana L. Arbuckle-Alexander and Andrea (Bryan | ||||||
2 | L.) Parker; his grandchildren, Stephen Michael Alexander, | ||||||
3 | Landon A. (Melanie) Parker, and Brittany E. Parker; therefore, | ||||||

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | John F. "Jack" Arbuckle Jr. and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
8 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
9 | it further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Jack Arbuckle as an expression of | ||||||
12 | our deepest sympathy.
