2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Thomas Blenner, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | December 3, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was born on September 9, 1951 in | ||||||
6 | Libertyville; his parents were William and Lois (nee Fuller) | ||||||
7 | Blenner; he married Peggy DeWane on May 8, 1982 in Woodstock; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was the president and owner of | ||||||
10 | Blenner Insurance Agency in Arlington Heights; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was an active member of many | ||||||
12 | professional organizations; he was also a member of Our Lady of | ||||||
13 | the Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was an avid sports fan and a | ||||||
15 | diehard Chicago Cubs fan; he also coached soccer, | ||||||
16 | cross-country, and basketball at Marian Central Catholic High | ||||||
17 | School in Woodstock, Our Lady of the Wayside School in | ||||||
18 | Arlington Heights, the Arlington Heights Youth Basketball | ||||||
19 | Association, and numerous club teams, including the Arlington | ||||||
20 | Aces Travel Team, the Green White Travel Team, and the | ||||||
21 | Northwest Basketball Association; he also served as the |

1 | Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Saint Viator High | ||||||
2 | School in Arlington Heights; and

3 | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was preceded in death by a | ||||||
4 | daughter, Megan; his parents; a brother, Joseph Blenner; and | ||||||
5 | his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Arlene | ||||||
6 | DeWane; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner is survived by his wife, Peggy; 2 | ||||||
8 | daughters, Kelly Blenner and Jamie Blenner; 3 siblings, William | ||||||
9 | (Nelva) Blenner, Susan (Edward Teter) Blenner, and Ann (Carson) | ||||||
10 | Anderson; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
13 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Blenner; and be | ||||||
14 | it further

15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
16 | presented to the family of Thomas Blenner as an expression of | ||||||
17 | our sympathy.
