SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, During the 101st General Assembly, House Joint
3Resolution 37 created the Rural Development Task Force to study
4the conditions, needs, issues, and problems in the agriculture
5industry and evaluate any action or legislation that may be
6necessary to promote economic development in the rural areas of
7the State; and
8 WHEREAS, The Rural Development Task Force was to report its
9findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by
10December 31, 2019; and
11 WHEREAS, The Rural Development Task Force needs additional
12time to complete its work; therefore, be it
13 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
15CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Rural Development Task Force shall
16make recommendations to the General Assembly as required by
17House Joint Resolution 37 no later than December 31, 2020; and
18be it further
19 RESOLVED, That with this extension, the Rural Development
20Task Force shall continue to operate as provided under House
21Joint Resolution 37 of the 101st General Assembly.
