1 | AN ACT concerning transportation.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
4 | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | Section 3-604 as follows:
| |||||||||||||||||||
6 | (625 ILCS 5/3-604) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-604)

7 | Sec. 3-604. Expiration of special plates. Every special | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | plate issued,
except those issued for dealers, manufacturers | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | and
and transporters under
Section 3-602 and persons with | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | disabilities under Section
3-609 or 3-616, or deaf or hard of
| |||||||||||||||||||
11 | hearing under Section 3-616 of this Code, may be issued for a 2
| |||||||||||||||||||
12 | year period beginning January 1st of each odd-numbered year and | |||||||||||||||||||
13 | ending
December 31st of the subsequent even-numbered year. The | |||||||||||||||||||
14 | special plates issued
to a person with
disabilities or a person | |||||||||||||||||||
15 | who is deaf or hard of hearing shall expire according
to the | |||||||||||||||||||
16 | multi-year procedure as established
by Section 3-414 of this | |||||||||||||||||||
17 | Code. | |||||||||||||||||||
18 | Special plates issued to members of the General Assembly | |||||||||||||||||||
19 | under Section
3-606 shall expire at midnight on the 31st day of | |||||||||||||||||||
20 | January in odd-numbered
years.
