Appropriates $500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to create the Chicago Cultural district. Effective July 1, 2026.

1 AN ACT concerning appropriations.

2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 represented in the General Assembly:

4 Section 5. The sum of $500,000, or so much of that sum as

5 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue

6 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to

7 create the Chicago Cultural district.

8 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,

9 2026.
