AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3357
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3357, AS AMENDED,
with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No.
1, on page 8, in line 24, by replacing "service. If a police"
with the following:
"service.
(a) If a police"; and
on page 9, by inserting below line 11 the following:
"(b) A retired police officer who accepts temporary
employment for a period not exceeding 75 working days in any
calendar year is not considered to make a re-entry into active
service within the meaning of this Section. Any part of a day
on temporary employment is considered a full day of employment.
Employee contributions under Section 3-125.1 shall not be
deducted nor shall creditable service time be granted during
the period of temporary employment."; and

on page 13, by inserting below line 6 the following:
"(d) A retired firefighter who accepts temporary
employment for a period not exceeding 75 working days in any
calendar year is not considered to make a re-entry into active
service within the meaning of this Section. Any part of a day
on temporary employment is considered a full day of employment.
Employee contributions under Section 4-118.1 shall not be
deducted nor shall creditable service time be granted during
the period of temporary employment.".
