Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that, in exercising its zoning powers, a municipality may regulate the storage of hazardous materials that are to be transported in compliance with the Illinois Hazardous Materials Transportation Act. Provides that, if an entity, or agent of the entity, engaged in the business of transporting hazardous material has filed a petition for a variance or special use, a municipality shall require the entity or agent to disclose the types of hazardous materials to be transported into and stored in a facility and an estimate of the number of freight vehicles expected to enter and exit the site on a regular basis.

65 ILCS 5/11-13-28 new
