Bill Title: Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971. Provides that members of the General Assembly and Executive Officers shall receive a separate program of health benefits with benefits similar to those offered under the Silver Plan (Blue PPO Silver 004) of the Illinois Health Exchange. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971
is amended by adding Section 2.10 as follows:
(5 ILCS 375/2.10 new)
Sec. 2.10. Health benefits for members of the General
Assembly and Executive Officers. Notwithstanding any other
provision of this Act to the contrary, members of the General
Assembly and Executive Officers shall receive a separate
program of health benefits with benefits similar to those
offered under the Silver Plan (Blue PPO Silver 004) of the
Illinois Health Exchange.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
