AN ACT concerning transportation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by adding
Section 4-101.17 as follows:
(605 ILCS 5/4-101.17 new)
Sec. 4-101.17. Highway naming by General Assembly. The
Department shall name a highway under its jurisdiction if one
chamber of the General Assembly passes by majority vote of the
elected members of that chamber a resolution directing that
the Department do so.
