2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental
5Disabilities Confidentiality Act is amended by adding Section
69.12 as follows:
7 (740 ILCS 110/9.12 new)
8 Sec. 9.12. Notification of change in treatment to family
9members. Upon petition, the court may order that a spouse,
10child, or parent of a recipient be notified, without the
11consent of the recipient, whenever there is a change in the
12recipient's treatment plan or medication.
