Bill Title: Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Provides that quick-take powers may be used by the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act for the acquisition of specified properties in Cook County for the purpose of a public building and facility. Repeals the provisions added by the amendatory Act 3 years after the effective date. Effective immediately.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly: | ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding | ||||||
| 5 | Section 25-5-145 as follows: | ||||||
| 6 | (735 ILCS 30/25-5-145 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 25-5-145. Quick-take; Village of Oak Park. | ||||||
| 8 | (a) Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used by | ||||||
| 9 | the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the | ||||||
| 10 | effective date of this amendatory Act of the 104th General | ||||||
| 11 | Assembly for the acquisition of the following described | ||||||
| 12 | properties for the purpose of a public building and facility: | ||||||
| 13 | 3-31 Madison Street and 509 S. Humphrey Avenue (sometimes | ||||||
| 14 | known as 11 Madison Street) | ||||||
