1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
5changing Section 500-5 as follows:
6 (215 ILCS 5/500-5)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2017)
8 Sec. 500-5. Scope of Article. This Article applies to all
9persons and and insurance companies as defined in this Code.
10This Article does not apply to surplus lines producers licensed
11pursuant to Section 445 except as provided in Section 500-40
12and subsection (b) of Section 500-90 of this Article.
