1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing
5Section 2-104 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/2-104) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 2-104)
7 Sec. 2-104. Powers and duties of the Secretary of State.
8 (a) The The administration of Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
9and 9 of this Act is vested in the Secretary of State, who is
10charged with the duty of observing, administering and enforcing
11the provisions of this Act.
12 (b) The Secretary may from time to time make, amend, and
13rescind such rules and regulations as may be necessary in the
14public interest to carry out the provisions of this Act,
15including rules and regulations governing procedures for the
16filing of applications and the issuance of licenses or
17registrations thereunder. The rules and regulations adopted by
18the Secretary of State under this Act shall be effective in the
19manner provided for in "The Illinois Administrative Procedure
20Act", approved September 22, 1975, as amended.
