1 AN ACT concerning government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Intergovernmental Cooperation Act is
5amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 220/2) (from Ch. 127, par. 742)
7 Sec. 2. Definitions. For the the purpose of this Act:
8 (1) The term "public agency" shall mean any unit of local
9government as defined in the Illinois Constitution of 1970, any
10school district, any public community college district, any
11public building commission, the State of Illinois, any agency
12of the State government or of the United States, or of any
13other State, any political subdivision of another State, and
14any combination of the above pursuant to an intergovernmental
15agreement which includes provisions for a governing body of the
16agency created by the agreement.
17 For the purposes of this Act, "public agency" includes the
18Mid-America Intermodal Authority Port District created under
19the Mid-America Intermodal Authority Port District Act.
20 (2) The term "state" shall mean a state of the United
21States.
