1 | AN ACT concerning aging.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
4 | Section 5. The Community Senior Services and Resources Act | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:
| |||||||||||||||||||

7 | Sec. 15. Definitions. For the
the purposes of this Act: | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | "Advisory Committee" means the Community Senior Services | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | and Resource
Center
Advisory Committee created under Section | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | 35.
| |||||||||||||||||||
11 | "Center" means a community senior services and resource | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | center.
| |||||||||||||||||||
13 | "Department" means the Department on Aging.
| |||||||||||||||||||
14 | "Director" means the Director of Aging.
| |||||||||||||||||||
15 | "Senior" means an individual 60 years of age or older.
| |||||||||||||||||||
16 | "Home or community based services" includes the following: | |||||||||||||||||||
17 | elder
abuse; home-delivered meals; case management; wellness | |||||||||||||||||||
18 | and fitness programs;
counseling;
adult
day services; respite | |||||||||||||||||||
19 | care; senior benefits outreach; congregate meals;
long-term | |||||||||||||||||||
20 | care
ombudsman services; job training and placement; | |||||||||||||||||||
21 | transportation; chore homemaker
services;
caregiver support; | |||||||||||||||||||
22 | computer literacy; and any program that assists participants
in
| |||||||||||||||||||
23 | avoiding inappropriate institutional placement or addresses |
| |||||||
| |||||||
1 | participants'
health, safety,
or well-being, regardless of | ||||||
2 | whether the service is received in a
participant's home
or in | ||||||
3 | an institutional setting and a majority of participants are | ||||||
4 | seniors or
family of seniors.
