Bill Title: Amends the Department of Veterans' Affairs Act. Provides that the Department shall require that each employee of a Veterans Home receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered. Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act and the Hospital Licensing Act. Provides that each employee of a hospital who works in the hospital's intensive care unit must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered. Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. Provides that each employee of a facility must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning health.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Department of Veterans' Affairs Act is
amended by adding Section 2.01d as follows:

Sec. 2.01d. Employees; COVID-19 vaccine. Notwithstanding
any other provision of law, the Department shall require that
each employee of a Veterans Home receive a vaccine for
COVID-19 if offered.
Section 10. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is
amended by adding Section 8d as follows:

Sec. 8d. Employees; COVID-19 vaccine. Notwithstanding any
other provision of law, an employee of the University of
Illinois Hospital who works in the hospital's intensive care
unit must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered.
Section 15. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by adding
Section 2-206.06 as follows:

Sec. 2-206.06. Employees; COVID-19 vaccine.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, each employee of a
facility must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered.
Section 20. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by
adding Section 6.28 as follows:

Sec. 6.28. Employees; COVID-19 vaccine. Notwithstanding
any other provision of law, each employee of a hospital
licensed under this Act who works in the hospital's intensive
care unit must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
