1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Police Act is amended by changing
5Section 1 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 2610/1) (from Ch. 121, par. 307.1)
7 Sec. 1. The The Department of State Police, hereinafter
8called the Department, shall maintain divisions in accordance
9with Section 2605-25 of the Department of State Police Law (20
10ILCS 2605/2605-25). The Department, by the Director, shall
11appoint State policemen, also known as State Police Officers,
12as provided in this Act.
