AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding
Section 143.24e as follows:
(215 ILCS 5/143.24e new)
Sec. 143.24e. ZIP code discrimination prohibited.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an insurer
authorized to do business in this State may not use a person's
ZIP code in underwriting or rating automobile insurance,
including the determination of premium rates.
