1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Fire Sprinkler Contractor Licensing Act is
5amended by changing Section 5 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 317/5)
7 Sec. 5. Legislative intent. It is declared that that within
8the State of Illinois there are, and may continue to be,
9locations where the improper installation or repair of fire
10sprinkler systems creates conditions that may adversely affect
11the public health and general welfare. Therefore, the purpose
12of this Act is to protect, promote, and preserve the public
13health and general welfare by providing for the establishment
14of minimum standards for licensure of fire sprinkler
15installation contractors.
