1 AN ACT concerning construction.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Residential Building Code Act is
5amended by changing Section 5 as follows:
6 (815 ILCS 670/5)
7 Sec. 5. Purpose. The purpose of this this Act is to
8provide minimum requirements for safety and to safeguard
9property and the public welfare by regulating and controlling
10the design, construction, installation, and quality of
11materials of new residential construction as regulated by this
12Act.
