Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that all dealers shall ensure that a registration mount is installed on the front and rear of every motor vehicle that is sold by the dealer and that is required to have registration plates attached to it under the Code. Provides that a dealer shall impose no additional cost or fee on the buyer for the acquisition and installation of the mounts.

625 ILCS 5/5-110 new

1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding
5Section 5-110 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/5-110 new)
7 Sec. 5-110. Dealer installation of registration mounts.
8Every dealer shall ensure that a registration mount is
9installed on the front and rear of every motor vehicle that is
10sold by the dealer and to which registration plates must be
11attached under subsection (a) of Section 3-413 and shall
12impose no additional cost or fee on the buyer for the
13acquisition and installation of the mounts.
