AN ACT concerning local government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Act
is amended by adding Section 11 as follows:
(70 ILCS 2605/11 new)
Sec. 11. Procurement of goods and professional services.
Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, on and
after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 97th
General Assembly, the corporate authorities of a sanitary
district must procure goods and professional services in a
manner substantially in accordance with the requirements of the
Illinois Procurement Code to the extent applicable.
