Bill Title: Amends the Workers' Compensation Act. Provides that the Department of Labor, the Department of Employment Security, and the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission Compliance Division are authorized to, and shall, perform on-site job site inspections to determine compliance with the Act. Provides for the violation to be reported to the appropriate State's Attorney.

1 | AN ACT concerning employment.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Workers' Compensation Act is amended by | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
5 | adding Section 26.2 as follows:

6 | (820 ILCS 305/26.2 new) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
7 | Sec. 26.2. Job site compliance inspections. The Department | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
8 | of Labor, the Department of Employment Security, and the | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
9 | Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission Compliance Division | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
10 | are authorized to, and shall, perform on-site job site | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
11 | inspections for the purpose of determining compliance with | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
12 | Section 4 of this Act. If a violation of Section 4 is found to | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
13 | have occurred, the violation shall be referred to the State's | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
14 | Attorney of the county in which the violation occurred.
